your needs.
K-12
In some states, Commercial Travelers' individual voluntary
student plans are very popular. These offer parents the choice
of a schooltime plan covering expenses related to in-school
accidents, up to a maximum medical benefit of $25,000.
Another option is the Around the Clock Plan, offering
24-hour a day coverage for accidents anywhere for a full year,
whether school is in session or not.
Additional coverage is available for football, which is not covered
under either of the above plans. Most other school sports are
covered. Extra coverage for field trips and school travel and
activities is also available.
Commercial Travelers is one of the few student insurance companies
to offer coverage for School-to-Work programs.
Special Risks
Standard coverage is available for the following events:
Sports Accident Insurance covers all players, coaches,
managers, volunteers and officials while participating in regularly
scheduled and supervised games, practice sessions, and travel
as a member of an insured team.
Professional and Amateur Martial Arts Accident Insurance
covers all martial artists during supervised practice, training,
and workouts, or while participating in a promoter's sponsored
tournament.
Camp and Conference Accident Insurance covers all participants
during a camp or conference while participating in policyholder
sponsored and supervised activities and travel to and from such
camp or conference. Both sports and recreational camps can be
covered for day-time only or 24-hour coverage.
Youth and Adult Group Accident Insurance covers all members
of a group while participating in a policyholder sponsored and
supervised activity and travel to and from such activity. Some
examples of groups are: church groups, community clubs, civic
clubs, Boy and Girl Scouts, 4-H clubs, drill teams, etc.
Pre-School Group Accident Insurance covers all students
and staff of the policyholder during school hours for policyholder
sponsored and supervised activities and travel to and from school.
Voluntary 24-hour coverage is also available for students.
Special Training Accident Insurance covers all enrollees
of the policyholder while participating in policyholder sponsored
and supervised activities and travel to and from such activities
for such groups as: non-resident vocational, handicapped, and
rehabilitation programs.
Special Events Accident Insurance covers all enrollees
of the policyholder while participating in policyholder sponsored
and supervised activities, and travel to and from such activities.
Some types of groups are: outings, fairs, parades, picnics, pageants,
field trips, hikes, soap box derbies, contests, etc.
Group Trip Travel Accident Insurance covers all participants
of the policyholder while on a trip or travel activity sponsored
by the policyholder. This is designed for educational, recreational,
church, sightseeing, convention, school, and other groups.
Standard benefits of Special Risk coverage include:
- Up to $5,000 accidental death and dismemberment insurance;
- Up to $10,000 accident-related medical/dental expense; and
- Up to $5,000 sickness medical expense (with some coverages).
